Celebrating the 350 anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer
A Service of Mattins, starting at 11:30am on Sunday 14 October 2012, held at St Peter's church, Woodmancote; followed by a hot & cold buffet lunch across the road at Terry's Cross House 12:45 for 1pm. The cost of the ticket covers the buffet lunch, you do not need a ticket to attend the service.
There will also be an exhibition on the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, including some materials from the Prayer Book Society.
All three of the parishes within the Henfield Benefice - Woodmancote, Shermanbury and Henfield - regularly still use the BCP for services, including Holy Communion, Mattins/Matins, and Evensong. We are delighted to be hosting this special service in this anniversary year.
